Jeffery is a handsome 2-3 year old, 90-95lb male Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart of gold! He's a gentle giant who absolutely adores people and is eager to be your loyal companion. He enjoys leisurely strolls and even more, he loves to snuggle up on the couch for movie nights. Jeffery was unfortunately dumped at the Dallas shelter and likely lived as a backyard dog before finding his way to safety. Despite his past, he's a well-behaved boy who is crate trained and potty trained. He's also up-to-date on all his shots and is heartworm negative. Jeffery is a smart cookie and knows his commands; he's so sensitive that if you raise your voice while walking, he'll back up and sit beside you, showing his gentle nature.
Ideal Home
Jeffery would thrive in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children aged 12 and up. He needs to be the only pet in the household, as he does not get along with other male dogs and his compatibility with female dogs is questionable. He is not a candidate for a dog park, but would make an excellent, devoted companion for someone looking for a couch buddy and a loving presence. He is not suited for running or hiking adventures. NO tie-outs and NO electric fences.

Jeffery is heartworm negative and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Jeffery is crate trained and potty trained. He is very responsive to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, showing his sensitive side when his voice is raised. He would do best in a home where he can be a cherished, only pet.
