Rowdy

Rowdy is a cherished, approximately 10-year-old, 60-pound Boxer-mix with all the expressive charm and playful energy you could want in a canine companion! He's in excellent health, with his vet noting he doesn't look or act his age. He is up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and neutered. Rowdy is house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, and he thrives in a predictable, low-stress environment. He's lived comfortably with cats and done well in group boarding, though he can be selectively reactive with other dogs in public. Rowdy takes his home-security duties seriously with his deep bark, making him an excellent, quiet alert dog. He loves nothing more than relaxing on the couch with his people and is deeply affectionate, devoted, and truly wants to please once he warms up.

Ideal Home

Rowdy would thrive in an adult-only or older-teen home where his boundaries can be respected. He would do best as the star of a household, ideally with a fenced yard, plenty of space to run, and people who will appreciate both his playful side and his cuddly, loyal nature. Rowdy startles easily and has had a few warning snaps/minor bites over the years, always in situations involving sudden handling or surprise.
