Petra is a sweet, affectionate American Foxhound who loves giving hugs and keeping her favorite people company. She is anxious in the shelter and needs patient, quiet humans who can help her build confidence.

Ideal Home

Petra would do best as the only pet in a calm household. A single person or couple who can spend plenty of time with her would be ideal. She has some stranger anxiety and may not be comfortable with meet-and-greets at the shelter.

Ongoing Health

Petra goes home spayed, microchipped, up to date on core vaccines and heartworm preventative, and heartworm tested for dogs six months and older.

Training & Support

Petra needs a dedicated adopter committed to continued training, trust building, and a structured transition into her forever home. Training support is included with adoption, and two professional in-home training sessions have been sponsored. The first session must be scheduled before adoption.
