Schmidt

Schmidt is a 9-year-old, 68 lb Terrier/Retriever Mix with a heart full of love to give! He's a true gentle soul who enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a warm sunbeam, a gentle stroll on the leash, and most of all, quality time with his favorite people. Schmidt is a well-behaved and house-trained boy who doesn't chew on household items. He's lived with foster dogs, including puppies, and gets along wonderfully with them. He's also shown respect towards cats, though a slow introduction to any feline family members would be best. While Schmidt can be a bit shy with new people and needs a moment to warm up, his foster family has taught him basic commands like sit, stay, and down, and he's a quick learner. He may be an older gentleman, but he's full of life and ready to settle into his forever home.

Ideal Home

Schmidt would love a home where he can spend plenty of time with his people, napping, cuddling, or gently playing. He's not a fan of crates, so a home where he isn't crated would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Schmidt is a mature dog with plenty of love to share. His adoption fee includes core vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip.

Training & Support

Schmidt is a fast learner and knows commands like sit, stay, and down. He walks well on a leash and is house-trained. He'll just need a little extra time and patience to settle into a new routine and warm up to new people.
