A little about them
Blaze was just a number in a crowded Texas shelter after being found wandering the unforgiving streets of Harris County, TX. At only about two years old, this beautiful boy was left to fend for himself, abandoned and left to die. You can see it in his eyes—Blaze once had a home, once knew love, and like so many dogs in this area, he was discarded when he needed people the most.
Weighing 72 pounds, Blaze is a stunning Alaskan Malamute with an even bigger heart. Despite the cruelty he’s experienced, he never let it steal his trust. He still believes in people. He still hopes. More than anything, Blaze wants to belong—to finally be someone’s forever. He’s ready to give unconditional love to the family who won't ever give up on him again.
Ideal Home
Blaze is ready to give his whole heart. All he needs is someone willing to take it.
Ongoing Health
Blaze is up to date on all vaccines and neutered. Like many pups abandoned in the southern states, he did test positive for heartworm, but he has already begun the slow-kill treatment and is on the path to recovery. What he truly needs now is something medicine can’t give him—a lifetime of love, safety, and commitment.
