Poby is a young, neutered male Jindo who is about 2.5 years old. He's currently in Bellevue, WA, with his family who are looking to rehome him due to unforeseen circumstances. His family has found that with their current situation, they are unable to provide him with the exercise he needs, and the husband is feeling a bit overwhelmed by typical Jindo traits. Poby is up-to-date on his shots and receives monthly flea and tick prevention. He's fit and healthy and likely weighs under 50 lbs, though he could gain a few pounds. Poby was obtained from a local breeder.
Ideal Home
Poby is looking for a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and stimulation. He enjoys being both an indoor and outdoor dog, and he sleeps in a doghouse in the backyard. His family notes that if he's not walked or exercised, he may chew on trees or plants in the yard. He can be reactive to dogs in his immediate neighborhood but is friendly and playful with dogs at the dog park or other locations. He has a high prey drive and will chase small animals like rabbits if he sees them.

Training & Support
Poby knows the commands "come," "sit," "lay down," and "leave it." He will pull on the leash unless it's kept short. While he tolerates being scratched on the top of his head, he prefers scratches on his neck, belly, back, and legs. He doesn't love baths but has learned to tolerate them. He loves playing tug-of-war with his stuffed toys. While he can be hesitant to enter the car if he realizes he's going to the vet, he's generally fine riding in the car and can jump into the trunk of an SUV. He has no separation anxiety. His family has reported some nipping incidents, primarily when high-value treats were taken away without notice or during redirection when breaking up scuffles with other dogs in their neighborhood. There have been no biting incidents that have drawn blood. A volunteer noted that during a walk, Poby pulled and panted when he saw a dog across the street, but there was no barking, whining, or growling. A gentle nudge was enough to redirect him.
