Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix with a sweet, loyal nature. She's a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and brings calm, comforting energy to those around her. She gets along well with other dogs and children, and her noble, affectionate, and loyal disposition makes her an excellent family dog. Cookie can be a little nervous at times, especially in new situations, but with patience and kindness, she settles in and shows her trusting heart. One of her favorite things is looking out the window, and she's especially happy watching the world go by during car rides or quiet moments at home. Despite a harsh beginning, born underneath a ruined house during freezing temperatures, Cookie has grown into a resilient and loving dog ready for a safe, warm, and forever home.
Ideal Home
Cookie would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. An open conscience towards the needs of rescued animals and experience in dog behavior and training would be highly beneficial. She requires high tolerance and patience from her adopters.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has undergone spay/neuter surgery, received DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She has a negative heartworm test and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not house-trained. The rescue's focus is on the health and emotional rehabilitation of their animals, and they are unable to provide individual house-training for each pet. Adopters should be prepared to provide consistent training and patience.
