Gilbert Blythe

Well, hello there! My name is Gilbert Blythe, but my foster family calls me Gil, Gilbert, Gilbert Grape, Gilly, GillyWeed, and Gilly Goat – I think they're trying to learn my name! I'm a charming young boy with striking light eyes and a coat of pure white, accented by a cute brown spot right on top of my head. My tail is a short, curly masterpiece that my foster moms think is the cutest thing ever! My sibling, Anne Shirley, and I recently made the journey from Alabama. This new land, covered in snow, is quite an experience, and I'm still deciding if I love it or if it's a little scary. Like my namesake, I'm outgoing and charismatic, ready to jump into any adventure with a forever family. I'm a great eater and a healthy growing boy, and I promise to be a loyal breed ambassador if you give me the love, attention, training, and care I need.

Ideal Home

I'm currently thriving with my foster family, which includes two wonderful moms, three children under 10, and two resident dogs. I enjoy their company and am learning to keep up with the other pups!

Ongoing Health

I'm a healthy, growing boy with no known health concerns.

Training & Support

I'm a good boy who minds my manners and knows how to sit, lay down, and wait. I'm working on my house training and will soon have it under control! Continued positive reinforcement and patience will help me succeed.
