KAYA

Kaya is a delightful 2-year-old Husky mix who’s just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. After spending her early years in isolation, she has blossomed into a playful, curious, and affectionate companion who is ready for adventure. Kaya loves her walks and is always up for tagging along on a hike or outing. She’s goofy and full of personality — the kind of dog who will make you smile every day. While she’s still learning how to interact with other dogs, she may do well with a calm, well-socialized dog of similar size. However, she should not live with cats.

Ideal Home

Kaya would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle and lots of outdoor time. She needs a secure, fenced yard that is at least 6 ft high. She cannot live with cats, and would do best as the only dog, or with one other calm dog of similar size. She will do best with a confident, experienced adopter who can guide her continued progress and provide a calm environment to help her continue building trust.

Kaya is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Kaya is house-trained and knows some basic commands. She is still gaining confidence with new people and situations, so she’ll do best in a home that offers structure, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement.
