He has that classic puppy mindset that life is a game and he must participate in all of it. Toys, people, shadows, leaves – everything is exciting, and he meets it all with enthusiasm and zero hesitation. He's the puppy that keeps things lively, the one who turns an ordinary moment into something funny just by being himself.
He loves people deeply, but in a very animated way. Hot Potato greets the world like its his long-lost best friend. He's wiggly, expressive, and full of joy, with no concept of personal space in the most endearing puppy way. After his bursts of play, he's just as quick to flop over and demand belly rubs like its the most important thing on his schedule. And honestly, once he's in your arms or at your feet, he settles into complete happiness.
There's a big heart behind all that energy. Hot Potato isn't just chaotic for the sake of it; he's social, affectionate, and eager to connect. All vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
We assess every animal with trainers on staff, modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking. His fosters are able to attend group training and socialization playgroups, helping him stay confident, well-rounded, and adoption-ready.

Transporation
Hot Potato is located in the Greater Houston area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. You can track their journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
