Heidi

Heidi is an adorable little dachshund who knows exactly what she likes. Having lived a very sheltered life, she's still discovering that the world isn't such a scary place. Every day, Heidi grows a little braver. She's learning to trust new people, explore new experiences, and even walk on a leash. With patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement, she's making wonderful progress. Heidi is happiest when she's with her person. She's incredibly affectionate, loves to be involved in everything you're doing, and will happily follow you from room to room. In fact, she's usually right under your feet!

Ideal Home

Heidi's ideal home is one that understands that confidence takes time to build. She'll thrive with a patient family willing to let her learn at her own pace while showering her with the love and reassurance she craves. She would not be a good match for someone with mobility or balance concerns due to her tendency to stay underfoot.

Ongoing Health

All adoptions include spay or neuter, current vaccinations, and heartworm testing.

Training & Support

Heidi is making wonderful progress with leash training and confidence-building. She needs a patient family ready to continue this journey with her.
