Hiromi is a 4-year-old, approximately 36 lb Belgian Malinois mix who is ready to find her forever home! She was found as a stray in Mexico, underweight and covered in ticks and fleas, but her sweet spirit remained. Hiromi has blossomed into a happy, healthy, and active girl who loves to play and spend time with her people. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but quickly warms up, showing her affectionate and loving nature. Hiromi is crate and leash trained, making her a great companion for outdoor adventures. She is intelligent and eager to learn, thriving with regular exercise and mental stimulation. Hiromi is looking for a family to cherish her and give her the happy ending she deserves.
Ideal Home
- A home with a fenced backyard is required.
- An active family that enjoys outdoor activities is ideal.
- A family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, offering protection and education.
- Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer.
- High tolerance and patience for rescued dogs.
Ongoing Health
Hiromi has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella, deworming, microchip, 4DX test, heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra protection. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period due to past trauma, and patience is crucial for their integration.
Training & Support
Hiromi is not house-trained. The rescue acknowledges that it's a significant undertaking to house-train every rescued pet due to the large number of animals in foster care. They emphasize that rescued pets may have fears and anxieties and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Building trust and a strong bond will require patience and understanding.
