The term “Lola” is used as an affectionate or honorific name for an elderly woman or grandmother in the Philippines, so it’s fitting that one volunteer at the shelter said this about our sweet senior lady Lola: “I’m always on the lookout for dogs I would trust with my grandma, and sweet senior Lola is definitely one for the list! She is gentle as a butterfly and sweet as pie. She is so mellow and chill, I felt peaceful just watching how relaxed she was! Today she took slow laps around the play yard, as middle-aged ladies will do: she would sniff around and then come back to me for body length pets! She’s a delightful dog!” Here’s what some of Lola’s other friends have said, and it’s clear that she’s a shelter favorite! “Senior Lola is the sweetest. This morning, Lola stayed by my side receiving pets, and when I stopped, she would nudge my hand with her head and even one time put her paw on my leg looking up at me with her big dark eyes. It was the cutest thing and I couldn’t resist. I continued to pet her and have the hair all over my leggings to prove it.” “Lola is a sweet and gentle girl who is easy to leash. She doesn’t pull and is not reactive. She loves chilling in a yard with her kennelmate. She comes when called and enjoys cuddling. She’s 100% a very good girl!” Lola shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
