This sweet girl is Ziva, a 3-year-old female Rottweiler who weighs about 80 pounds. Ziva is a beautiful, intelligent, and loving companion who is ready to find her forever home. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Ziva's previous owner sadly passed away, and she was left to fend for herself in the backyard for several weeks. Thankfully, caring neighbors stepped in to feed and socialize with her. We were able to rescue Ziva and bring her to safety in a loving foster home, where she's blossomed. Ziva is a "slow burn" – she needs time and patience to warm up to new people and situations, but her devotion is absolutely worth it. Once she trusts you, she's a wonderful dog who loves to snuggle and will approach you for pets.
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best in a home with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for time to acclimate. She would prefer a home without children, as she needs a quiet environment to feel secure and does not like being touched near her ears or tail. While Ziva is cat-friendly and has lived with multiple cats, she would do best in a home without other dogs, or with an owner experienced in slow introductions to resident dogs, as she can be reactive to other dogs on walks.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is a healthy girl who has been fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
Ziva is fully potty trained and free-roams in her foster home without issue. She does exhibit resource guarding, so it's best to feed her separately. Ziva can be a puller on leash and could benefit from continued leash training. She is reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks.
