A little about them
Nigel is a goofy, affectionate, food-motivated companion who loves long walks, playful adventures, squirrel hunting, and spending time with his people. Once he gets to know you, he enjoys staying close and showing off his fun personality.
Ideal Home
Nigel needs an experienced home with a secure, high fence. He has a high prey drive, loves chasing squirrels, and enjoys digging, so he’ll need appropriate outlets for his energy and curiosity.
He currently enjoys playing with a 6-year-old female husky, but he can be selective about canine friends and needs careful introductions with the right match. He could also thrive as an only dog. An adult home or a home with older, dog-savvy children would be the best fit due to his limited exposure to children under about 14.
Ongoing Health
No medical conditions are reported for Nigel.
Training & Support
Nigel is house trained and crate trained and knows how to settle into a routine. He needs thoughtful management and positive training around food, treats, and other valued items. He may guard high-value food and treats from dogs and people and may snap or nip when he feels his resources are threatened. All food and treats are currently given in his crate.
