Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a hoarding situation. He's a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and needs a little time to adjust to new situations. Riggs gets along well with other dogs and cats, and would do best in a home with a confident, friendly dog to show him the ropes. He also needs a fenced yard for safety, as he's still a bit startled by loud noises and sudden commotion.

Ideal Home

Riggs would thrive in a calm, laid-back home with a resident dog to help him feel secure. He needs a securely fenced yard and would do best with children over 10 who are respectful and not overly boisterous. He's not a fan of loud noises or sudden commotion, so homes that can maintain a peaceful environment would be ideal.

Riggs is still catching up on some of the basics of everyday life due to his past. He benefits from structure, kindness, and time to build confidence. He is not yet a fan of loud noises, so planning around holidays like the Fourth of July will be important.
