Charlie

Charlie is a handsome, 1.5-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix who weighs between 85–90 pounds. He's a sweet and energetic boy who ended up on a euthanasia list due to shelter overcrowding but was thankfully given a second chance. Now, he's ready to find a loving forever home where he can share his playful spirit and loyal companionship! Charlie is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, crate trained, and fully potty trained. He absolutely loves to play ball, especially tennis balls, and enjoys a good game of keep-away! He's a very smart dog who already knows several commands and could excel in advanced training.

Ideal Home

Charlie would do best in a home with teenage children or adults, as his enthusiasm might be a bit much for smaller children. He would thrive with an active single person, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures and would love a hiking or running partner. He is not to be tied out or have an electric fence.

Ongoing Health

Charlie is heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Charlie is crate trained, potty trained, and knows commands like heel, sit, come, stay, off, and gentle. He is still working on the "down" command. His intelligence and eagerness to learn mean he could easily succeed in advanced training, agility, or even protection work. He rides well in the car and doesn't struggle with anxiety.
