Phil

Meet Phil! This adorable and energetic boy found himself at the Haven after being found running loose in Springfield and going unclaimed. Phil is a social butterfly who thrives on human companionship and wants to be right by your side – he's definitely a family dog, not a backyard dog! He enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those who are up for a good play session, so a playful canine sibling would be a perfect fit. Phil is a toy enthusiast and dreams of a home filled with fun playthings! He's an active, intelligent pup who picks up on things quickly and is eager to please. Phil would do wonderfully with an owner who has some experience with basic commands and leash manners. He's making great progress with his crate training and will continue to do well with that in his new home.

Ideal Home

Phil is a fantastic family dog who loves being with his people. He's looking for a home with a playful dog sibling who enjoys roughhousing. Due to his tendency to be a little mouthy as he learns, he's probably not the best fit for homes with small children at this time.

Ongoing Health

All pets at the Haven are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Phil can be a little mouthy, which is common for his breed, but with a little consistent training, he'll learn to curb this habit. He's very trainable and eager to learn, responding well to instruction. He's doing well with crate training and will benefit from continuing this in his new home.

Phil is currently at The Haven of the Ozarks, located at 4172 W. Division St. Springfield, MO 65802. The Haven is open 9am-4pm, seven days a week. No appointment is needed to meet adoptable pets.
