Mikey

Mikey is a handsome 7-year-old German Shepherd, Lab, and Boxer mix weighing around 64 lbs. He's been with us for over 1440 days and is eager to find his forever family! Mikey is an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion who absolutely adores his humans. His whole body wiggles with joy when you come home, and he loves nothing more than to snuggle up on your lap, no matter his size! He also has a fantastic time playing basketball in a fenced yard, as you can see in his videos. Mikey is a simple dog with uncomplicated needs: a fenced yard for zoomies, his comfy crate, and plenty of love and attention.

Ideal Home

Mikey would do best in a home without cats or young children. He can be overly enthusiastic when greeting people, sometimes jumping to show his affection, and would do best with humans who are sturdy enough to handle his big greetings. He also prefers not to go on walks where he might encounter wheeled objects like bicycles or skateboards, but he's perfectly happy to play in a securely fenced yard.

Training & Support

Mikey is crate trained and enjoys his crate time. While he loves to be with his people, managing him in the house is straightforward. He thrives on receiving affection and attention, which is a wonderful reward for his loving nature.
