Hannah (bonded with Joe)

Hannah and Joe are a bonded pair from Kauai looking for a special family to call their own. Hannah has overcome significant fear from past mistreatment and has blossomed with the companionship of Joe, a handsome 10-year-old hound mix. Joe, who bravely endured and recovered from heartworm treatment, provides Hannah with confidence, and together they enjoy walks, hikes, snuggles, and playtime in the yard. They are a package deal, each bringing out the best in the other.

Ideal Home

A patient family with a fenced yard (at least 4 feet high) would be ideal. This peaceful home should have low foot traffic and at least two adults who can provide gentle guidance and support. Children aged 12 and older are welcome, considering the dogs' skittish nature and Joe's strength.

Ongoing Health

Joe has successfully completed heartworm treatment and is now in good health.

Training & Support

Hannah and Joe thrive with patient owners who understand their need for time to settle in. Gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement will help them continue to grow in confidence and enjoy new experiences.
