Journey

Journey is a handsome, three-and-a-half-year-old, neutered male Husky with striking black and white markings. Born on August 17, 2022, he weighs between 45-50 lbs. Journey's story is quite remarkable – he was famously rescued via kayak during a hurricane in Houston, only to "swim away" and make his way to shore himself before being safely caught. That was a year and a half ago, and since then, he's discovered the joys of a loving home and regular care. He's a smart and sweet boy who enjoys being part of his family's daily life and adventures.

Ideal Home

Journey would do great in a home with school-aged children, a couple, or a single person who can include him in their daily activities. He would not do well in an apartment setting. He needs a securely fenced yard to run and play. Absolutely no tie-outs or electric fences.

Ongoing Health

Journey is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on monthly preventatives. He has been neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

He knows his basic commands but is not yet trained to be off-leash.
