Meet Rufus, a charming 2-year-old Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who weighs in at a perfect 22 pounds! This fluffy fellow is bursting with smarts, sweetness, and a personality as big as his star power. Rufus was found wandering the streets of Texas, a little scruffy but with a wagging tail that showed his resilient spirit. Now cleaned up and safe, he's revealed himself to be a joyful, clever, and affectionate companion who adores belly rubs and giving love.
Ideal Home
Rufus would thrive in a home with active humans who can appreciate his enthusiasm for life. While he loves to play, he's still polishing his manners, so a home with children over 10 years old would be best. He'd be happy as an only dog with plenty of human interaction or with another playful dog to share his adventures.
Ongoing Health
Rufus is completely vetted and ready for his forever home. He has been neutered, microchipped, tested heartworm negative, and is up to date on all his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Rufus is a smart boy who knows "sit" and comes when called. He's crate trained and house-trained when kept on a schedule. He's eager to learn and wants to be a good boy, so consistent positive reinforcement will help him continue to thrive.

Transporation
Rufus is currently located in Houston, Texas. We arrange transport for approved adopters to locations near them. This transport service ensures dogs are moved safely in air-conditioned vans by a dedicated team, with real-time updates provided so you can track your furry friend's journey.
