Sully

A handsome, sweet, and sensitive Husky mix named Sully is searching for his forever home! This 3-year-old, 75lb male is ready to embark on new adventures and shower his family with love. Sully arrived with us in August 2025 from a Northern community, having spent significant time in a shelter that lacked an adoption program. This resulted in him gaining some extra weight, but he's already shed 5 pounds thanks to a dedicated diet and exercise routine, and he's continuing his weight loss journey.

Ideal Home

Sully would thrive in a home with a patient and experienced owner who can continue his confidence-building and behavior modification. He's looking for a home with children 12 years and older, or ideally a home without children. Due to a high prey drive, he is unlikely to be a good fit for a home with cats. Sully is good with most dogs but prefers not to interact with intact or dominant males.

Sully has no known medical concerns.

Training & Support

Sully is crate trained and house trained, viewing his crate as a safe space. However, he has marked in new environments, so he will need supervision as he adjusts to a new home. He is currently working on his leash manners and off-leash recall. Sully has displayed some guarding behavior tied to insecurity, which will require ongoing management, proper introductions, and supervision in his new home. He is currently undergoing intensive training, including e-collar training, to build his confidence and reduce guarding tendencies.
