Athena is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, and is ready to transport to her forever home once approved.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide daily physical exercise, mental enrichment, and plenty of appropriate chew toys. A family committed to continuing her training and socialization, with patience and consistency as she matures, will be key to her success. While she enjoys playing with smaller dogs, she genuinely loves dogs of all sizes and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. Her strong desire to play might lead her to engage with cats, so a cat-savvy home with slow introductions and clear boundaries, or a home without cats, would be ideal.

Training & Support
Athena is a smart and eager learner, already knowing "sit," "down," "drop it," and "come." She is still in a chewing phase and will need ongoing guidance and appropriate chew toys. She is actively learning social boundaries with other dogs and is improving daily. Continued positive reinforcement training and socialization will help her mature beautifully.
