Chance

Meet Chance! He’s a big, snuggly, 3-year-old boy who loves to roughhouse, which is a lot like snuggling when you’re a young dog! Chance was returned to us through no fault of his own, as his previous home wasn’t the right fit. Since then, he’s been working hard with a trainer to build on his previous training and prepare for his second chance at a forever home.

Ideal Home

Chance would do best in a home with someone experienced with large breeds and who can provide strong leadership. He’s looking for a person who will continue to support his training journey. He can get along with most other dogs, but he is selective about his furry friends. If you have a dog at home, a slow and proper introduction with a meet-and-greet is essential for success. He can be dog reactive and will bark if another dog barks first, but he has made significant progress with his trainer.

Ongoing Health

Chance's adoption fee is partially sponsored and is now $250. This fee includes his alteration, a microchip with a lifetime subscription, rabies, Bordetella, and DAPP vaccines, flea and heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment.

Training & Support

Chance has been working on leash manners to prevent pulling and is practicing responding calmly to other dogs. He will need continued positive reinforcement and guidance to build on the progress he has already made.

Transporation

Chance is currently being fostered in Webster, NY. We require a 60-minute adoption radius from his foster location. Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.
