Luffy aka Charlie (20250924-02)

Luffy, also known as Charlie, is a 9-month-old male Shepherd Mix weighing 50 lbs. Born around August 12, 2025, this handsome boy with black and brown markings is a bundle of playful energy and a loving companion. Luffy's mama was a sweet, gentle Shepherd rescued from Manitoba, and Luffy has inherited her wonderful temperament. He's a bright, clean, and friendly dog who only barks to alert you to something important. He's incredibly smart, highly food-motivated, and a quick learner, making training easy. While he has an energetic side, he's also a master of settling down indoors and is not destructive. He's great in his crate and rides well in the car. Luffy adores affection, though he can get a bit overstimulated with too much petting, so he thrives with calm, verbal praise.

Ideal Home

Luffy would be happiest in an adult-only home with a yard, as he has a high energy level and cannot live in an apartment. He does not need to live with another dog. He is good with other dogs if properly introduced and good with men and women. He is good with kids aged 16 years and older. Luffy is not good with cats.

Ongoing Health

Luffy is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He is house-trained and crate-trained.

Training & Support

Luffy is working on his leash manners, specifically pulling. He is not reactive to people or dogs on leash. He is not food aggressive. He is not a barker. While he can be handled, he isn't comfortable being handled by young children.
