Charlie has every reason in the world to be cautious, but instead, she chooses love! This sweet little girl was found abandoned south of Dallas alongside her mama and brother. While we may never know exactly what their life looked like before rescue, we do know that Charlie arrived with a severely damaged eye that ultimately had to be removed. Today, Charlie is officially rocking her adorable permanent wink and is happier than ever. She never let her eye slow her down, playing, exploring, cuddling, and loving life as if nothing was wrong. Now that her eye is gone, she's even more comfortable and thriving!
At around 5 months old and approximately 18 pounds, Charlie is expected to remain a wonderful medium-small companion. We believe she is a Boxer mix, possibly with a little American Bully mixed in. Based on her size and build, we expect Charlie to mature to 35 pounds or less. Charlie has never met a stranger! Whether you're a child, an adult, another dog, or someone she met 30 seconds ago, Charlie's response is always the same: "Hi! I love you already!" She is one of the sweetest puppies you'll ever meet and adores everyone, happily greeting new people with tail wags, kisses, and excitement. When she's not making new friends, you'll often find Charlie stretched out in a sunny spot soaking up the warmth. She absolutely loves to sunbathe and can frequently be found lounging in the sunshine like she's on a tiny puppy vacation.
