About Russell

Meet Russell, a handsome two-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart of gold! He's a classic Pyr – sweet, gentle, laid-back, and incredibly friendly and affectionate. Russell arrived at our rescue after being found as a stray. He's a tall, rangy boy, currently weighing in at 80 lbs, and has a beautiful golden sheen on his back. Russell is a dream come true for any adopter: he's house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He absolutely loves car rides and can happily travel for hours. With his big, football-helmet-shaped head, he's always ready with a loving gesture and a wagging tail.

Ideal Home

Russell would love a home with another dog to play with; he enjoys tossing his toy bones around and sharing his toys. He would also be happy in a home without other pets as long as he receives plenty of attention. All dogs and puppies from GPRS require visible fencing.

Ongoing Health

Russell is fully vetted, neutered, and tested negative for heartworm.

Training & Support

Russell is already house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He's responsive to people and eager to please. As a large breed, he will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to maintain his good manners.

Transporation

Russell is currently located in Texas. We have weekly transports to the Northeast, and transport is available to other areas of the US for an additional fee. Northeast transport is $200, while Midwest and Northwest transport fees range from $225-$350. Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350.
