Meet Kenai! This precious 2-4 year old mixed breed has a story of resilience. She was found as a stray, dragging a chain and trap. After a kind rescue effort, it was discovered she had a foothold trap on her front foot, requiring amputation. Kenai is now safe, recovering, and learning to navigate the world as a tripod. Despite her ordeal, she is a sweet, gentle, friendly, loving, and smart girl who gets along well with other dogs. This brave soul is so deserving of a happy ending, and we are committed to making the rest of her life the best of her life. Could it be with you?

Ongoing Health

Kenai's front leg was amputated due to injuries sustained before her rescue. She is on the road to recovery and adapting well to life as a tripod.

Training & Support

Like all rescue dogs, Kenai will benefit from continued training and socialization to help her thrive in her new home.

Transporation

Kenai is located in South Carolina. Transport to the Northeast is available weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their new pet. We offer local or virtual meet-and-greets once an application is on file.
