Bubba Bear is a 3-year-old, approximately 60 lb dog, believed to be a Black Lab/Pittie mix. He's a gentle and easy-going soul with the most endearing, "toothless smile" that's guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Bubba has a calming presence and will quietly follow you around, making even working from home feel a little less lonely. He's a slow burn when it comes to new environments, preferring to observe and adjust at his own pace. Once he's comfortable, his affectionate side shines through with gentle head nudges and polite paw offers for pets. He absolutely adores treats and has a hilariously adorable way of maneuvering his tongue to enjoy them!

Ideal Home

Bubba would thrive in a calm home that matches his mellow personality. He's more of a homebody and would be happiest in a residential neighborhood with a fenced yard, allowing for a predictable routine and peaceful environment. Apartment living or life in a busy city may not be his ideal match.

Training & Support

Bubba is crate trained but prefers not to be crated alone, settling best when he can see his family or canine friends. He is doing wonderfully with potty training, having had only two accidents in his foster home within his first 24 hours. He's learned to use a doggy door for emergencies if needed. Bubba is dog-friendly and has done well with both large and small dogs, but he's not looking for a boisterous playmate; he prefers peaceful coexistence and group naps. He has also done well with cats.

Wags facilitates nationwide adoptions using a USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
