Sandy

Sandy is a sweet and resilient 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who weighs around 33 lbs. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, facing difficult circumstances. Despite a challenging start that involved a medical emergency during her spay surgery, Sandy is a fighter who has overcome a lot. She's a grateful soul who will surely bring love and protection to her forever family.

Ideal Home

Sandy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, a family with patience, understanding, and experience in dog behavior and training. Adopters should have a high tolerance for rescued dogs and be committed to providing her with the exercise and guidance she needs.

Ongoing Health

Sandy has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI, rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, and has been dewormed. She tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Sandy is not house-trained and will require dedicated effort in this area. Her foster family emphasizes that the focus is on health and emotional rehabilitation for rescued pets, making it challenging to provide comprehensive house training for every animal.
