Calvin

Hello there! My name is Calvin, and I'm a handsome, sweet, and goofy 2-3 year old Labrador Mix who weighs around 70 pounds. I arrived at the shelter as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery, but the wonderful team here has learned so much about me! I'm incredibly smart and eager to learn, and I've already mastered "sit," "stay," "leave-it," and "kennel." I absolutely love going for walks and am getting the hang of leash manners. I enjoy the company of other dogs and have had some fun playdates with my buddy Klein. I'm a gentle giant with a good amount of energy, and I'd be thrilled to find a home with a fenced yard. Just a heads-up, I'm still learning about my own size, so I might not be the best fit for someone with mobility issues. The shelter staff adore me because I'm also very snuggly!

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and would do well with an active family who can keep up with my energy. I may not be suitable for homes with individuals who have mobility issues due to my size.

Ongoing Health

I am currently healing from my neuter surgery and will be ready to go to my forever home after 7/14/2026.

Training & Support

I am eager to learn and have already picked up several commands. I am learning to walk nicely on a leash. I am still learning about my size, so gentle guidance will help me continue to grow into a well-mannered companion.
