Acton

Acton is a wonderful and pretty calm youngster, but his energetic side may be waiting to show itself once he finds his forever home. He deserves a family who is fully committed to providing him with the love and care he needs.

Acton would thrive in a home where his adopters understand that pets are a lifelong commitment and involve financial responsibility.

Ongoing Health

Acton is a healthy young dog. All dogs at our facility are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

House training is still needed for Acton. We recommend slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions if you have other dogs, and a decompression period after he settles into your home.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members should be present to meet dogs, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers.
• We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s).

Transporation

Acton is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control, 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. They are open daily from 12pm to 7pm. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you plan to adopt the same day you visit, please arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm can still view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
