About Blue

Meet Blue! This energetic 10-month-old, approximately 50lb Black Lab mix is looking for an active family to call his own. Blue and his brother Bear have spent their young lives in our care, and while we love them dearly, shelter life is just not the best fit for two playful labs. They need plenty of space to run, lots of engaging activities, and dedicated humans who understand the commitment that comes with raising young dogs. Blue is dog-friendly, and a meet-and-greet is required to ensure a good match. He also does well with children, though older kids would be best due to his boundless energy and enthusiasm. While we haven't cat-tested Blue, he has shown some prey drive, so a home without feline friends would be ideal. Blue is ready to trade his kennel for a loving forever home and start his adult life with his perfect match!

Ideal Home

Blue would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and play. He's looking for an active family who can dedicate time to training and exercise. Homes without cats are preferred due to his prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Blue has received a general check-up, deworming, and flea/tick treatment. He is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, including distemper and rabies. He is also microchipped. If he were not old enough to be safely neutered, a $50 refundable deposit would be required upon adoption, with the refund issued upon proof of sterilization. All adopters are required to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption and follow a recommended veterinary care plan.

Training & Support

Blue is a young, high-energy dog who will benefit from ongoing training and socialization. His active nature and enthusiasm mean he could use guidance on his manners.
