Sunshine is a sweet 3-year-old Poodle who is looking for her forever home. She spent the first three years of her life in a breeding situation and is now ready to experience all the joys of being a cherished pet. Sunny, as she's also known, loves other dogs and would be happiest in a home with a canine companion to show her the ropes. She's comfortable in a crate or puppy pen and will let you know what she needs. Sunshine adores spending time outdoors, running and playing with her doggy friends. She'll approach you with enthusiasm, placing her front paws on you for a gentle greeting and a little lick. While she's still a bit cautious and doesn't jump into laps, she enjoys sitting with you once she's comfortable. Her foster mom has found that picking her up and letting her sit in her lap is very helpful for her to build trust and learn that people can be good. Sunshine has a wonderful personality and is just beginning to discover the fun of toys, having recently found one to chew on.
Ideal Home
Sunshine would do best in a home with another dog to help her feel secure. She also needs a home without children, or with children older than 12-13, as she is still learning to trust humans. A securely fenced yard is a must, as she loves to run and play outside.
Ongoing Health
Sunshine's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, routine vaccinations, worming, microchip, heartworm testing, and monthly preventative. All known health information is provided in her listing.
Training & Support
Sunshine is still learning to trust and needs patient guidance. She's making great progress with her foster mom and is learning to enjoy gentle affection. Providing her with a stable, loving environment and positive reinforcement will help her continue to blossom.

Sunshine is located in Ohio and we primarily adopt to homes in Ohio. We will consider homes in Kentucky, Indiana, and certain areas of Michigan, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania if it is the best fit for her. We do not ship or arrange transport.
