Meet Chanel, a sweet and resilient 3 to 4-year-old terrier mix who had a tough start in life. She was abandoned at a crowded shelter in New Mexico and was even on the euthanasia list before being rescued and brought to Texas. Here, she has blossomed into a happy and energetic dog who even donates blood to help other animals! Chanel is a true hero, but she's still looking for a special family to help her gain more confidence. She loves toys, especially soft squeaky ones, though she can be a bit jumpy if they're too loud and is still learning how to play with them. Because of her past, she can be a bit flinchy if hands come towards her too quickly, so she needs a patient and gentle home where she can learn to trust and feel safe.

Chanel would thrive in a patient and understanding home. She is looking for a canine companion to help her learn and grow.

Chanel is a healthy, spayed female who is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working through some past trauma and can be flinchy. She needs a gentle environment where she can take things at her own pace. Continued positive reinforcement and patience will help her build trust and confidence.

Transporation
Chanel is located in Texas. Transportation is available to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH, LA. AZ is coming soon. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request. Texas adopters have a flat rate fee of $250 for transport within the state. All transport is done in air-conditioned vehicles with onboard attendants.
