Spike JuM

Spike is a handsome guy with a strong name to match, but don't let that fool you! He's actually a big goofball – smart, silly, playful, and incredibly happy to be alive. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas, where he received much-needed heartworm treatment. Now, he's looking for a loving family to share his life with. Spike does well with other dogs but is a dominant boy, so he would thrive as an only dog or with a submissive canine companion. As a Husky, he embodies all the wonderful traits of the breed: he's active and intelligent, but also an escape artist who sheds a lot. A family knowledgeable about Huskies will be key to his success! Spike dreams of leaving the Texas heat behind and would absolutely love a cooler climate. He's ready for his forever home!

Ideal Home

Spike would love a home that understands the Husky breed, as they are known escape artists and heavy shedders. He's also a dominant dog, so a home with a submissive dog friend or as the only pet would be ideal. He's eager to leave hot Texas and would appreciate a cooler climate.

Spike has successfully completed his heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Spike is described as being active and a Husky, so he'll need a family that can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Understanding the breed's tendencies for escaping and shedding will be important.
