Echo may not be able to see the world around him, but he still has so much love to give! This sweet boy recently arrived at the shelter and is still settling into a very unfamiliar place. Because he's completely blind, new sights aren't what guide him; he relies on his nose, his ears, and the kindness of the people around him. Sudden movements or unexpected touches can startle him, so he'll do best with a family that is patient, gentle, and willing to let him explore at his own pace. A shelter is especially overwhelming for a dog who can't see. New sounds, unfamiliar smells, and constant activity make it difficult for him to feel safe, which is why he's been placed on our At-Risk list. What he needs most isn't perfect vision; it's a quiet home, a predictable routine, and someone who will help him build confidence one step at a time. Blind dogs can live happy, full lives. They learn their surroundings, memorize routines, and form incredible bonds with the people they trust. Echo deserves that chance.
