Charlie is a sweet, energetic Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix who weighs 85–90 pounds and is approximately 1½ years old. He was unfortunately left at a shelter and was on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding. Thankfully, he was given a second chance and is now ready to find his forever home! Charlie is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is heartworm negative. He is crate trained and fully potty trained. Charlie has a fun-loving, playful personality and absolutely adores playing ball. He'll happily chase and return any ball for another throw—except tennis balls! Those are his favorite, and he enjoys a good game of keep-away with them. He rides well in the car and does not struggle with anxiety. He tends to prefer female dogs over males. He has not been cat tested, but his high energy level may be a bit much for a feline companion. He is a very smart boy and already knows several commands, including heel, sit, come, stay, off (no jumping), and nice/gentle when taking treats. He is still working on “down.”
Ideal Home
Because of his size and enthusiasm, Charlie would do best in a home with teenage children or adults, as he may accidentally knock over small kids in his excitement. He would thrive with an active single person, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures. He would make an excellent hiking or running partner. He cannot be tied out or have an electric fence.

Charlie is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Charlie is crate trained and fully potty trained. He knows several commands including heel, sit, come, stay, off (no jumping), and nice/gentle when taking treats. He is still working on "down." With his intelligence and eagerness to learn, he could easily excel in advanced training, agility, or even protection work.
