Meet Manhattan, but you can call him Vanish! This handsome 69-pound German Shepherd mix is a loyal, smart, and delightfully goofy boy looking for his forever home. Vanish has been a perfect gentleman in his foster home for the past two months. He's housebroken, non-destructive indoors, and a lighthearted goofball once he warms up. Vanish is incredibly intelligent and thrives on structure and consistency. He walks beautifully on a loose leash, is almost fully crate trained, and settles perfectly in the car when crated. He already knows "Sit," "Lay down," and "Crate," and is eager to learn more advanced skills. Vanish has a high toy drive and shows no resource guarding.

Ideal Home

Vanish needs a peaceful, structured, adult-only or older-kid home with an experienced owner. He can be a little hesitant around men initially, but with a little time, he warms up and becomes deeply loving. He is neutral around dogs on walks but can be a bit rough and rowdy with small dogs. Vanish does great with confident cats.

Ongoing Health

Vanish is neutered, heartworm negative, and fully up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. He enjoys his meals fast, so a slow feeder is recommended.

Vanish is a sensitive soul who needs a dedicated adopter ready to continue his training. He is learning advanced skills like heel, recall, and waiting politely at doors.
