Meet Shadow, a sweet and affectionate 1-year-old Black Lab and Pitbull mix who is 45 pounds of pure cuteness! Shadow is eager to be your best friend from the moment you meet her, showering you with tail wags and puppy kisses. She's a playful pup who enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with her toys and can even entertain herself. When it's time to relax, she loves a good cuddle session and favors booty scratches! Shadow is potty trained and walks well on a leash for 10-20 minutes a day, and she already knows simple commands, making training a breeze with her treat-motivated personality.
Ideal Home
Shadow would love a home with another confident dog to play with and help her gain confidence. A house with a yard is preferred for her playtime, but she could also do well in an apartment with proper exercise and enrichment. A cat-free home is best, as she can get a little too playful with feline friends. Because she's a bouncy and playful puppy, older children would be the best fit for her.

Shadow is still mastering her puppy skills and building confidence. She is working on her leash manners, which is normal for her age and will improve with time and consistency. Her treat-motivated nature and knowledge of "sit" make her eager to learn.

Transporation
Shadow is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA certified transport system. We have drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a private Facebook event page for adopters. A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
