Meet Buddy! This big boy is ready to leave shelter life behind and find his forever family. He'll greet you with a wagging tail and eagerly await the leash to go out and be by your side. Buddy loves to investigate with his nose and make sure everything is in order. He's also summer-ready, as he enjoys dipping his paws in the pool to cool off!

Ideal Home

Buddy is a fan of treats, because snacks are life! He has participated in shelter playgroups and is currently sharing a space with another dog, so he may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. If you're looking for a buddy for your dog, bring them to the shelter for a meet and greet to see if they're a match!

Training & Support

Buddy could use a little more help in the manners department and can be a little mouthy when taking treats. He does know "sit" and will gladly wait for treats. He also participated in the Barks and Recreation field trip program and went to a special event at a local golf course where he made many new friends and peacefully slept in the car on the way back to the shelter. Ask staff to see his report cards!

Transportation

Buddy is at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter, located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. You can meet him Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, and Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your ID with you to help expedite the meet and greet process.
