Crinkle

Meet Crinkle! He's a 6 ½-year-old coonhound cross with a voice as smooth as a banjo tune and a presence that rolls in like a country song at sunset. Crinkle found his way to us as an unclaimed stray, but he's got star power! He's the kind of dog who would be front and center at any talent show. You won't need a doorbell with Crinkle around; this gentleman announces himself with a classic hound bay – loud, proud, and full of heart.

Ideal Home

Crinkle's dream home is a single detached house where he can express his "country croon" without disturbing the neighbors. He'd thrive in a home with wide-open spaces or at least a yard where he can freely express himself.

Ongoing Health

Crinkle's main quirk is his feet. Nail trims are not his favorite activity, and he'll protest with a ballad. He needs patience, gradual desensitization, positive reinforcement, and possibly a good trainer and vet team to help him learn that paw handling isn't so bad.

Training & Support

Crinkle is smart, independent, and loyal. He's not highly food-motivated but will work for love, patience, and understanding. He gets along well with other dogs and is generally easygoing on walks, but his nose is always on the job. Secure leashes and supervision are a must, as he will follow a scent with great determination. He is looking for someone who understands hound dog ways, has patience and consistency, and recognizes that his independence is part of his charm.
