Ruby

Ruby is a delightful 1–2 year old, 35-pound Spaniel/English Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and a brilliant mind! She's already spayed and crate-trained, and she's eagerly awaiting her forever family. Ruby is an intelligent, athletic, and toy-motivated pup who loves to engage. A certified behavior consultant even believes she'd be a fantastic candidate for dog sports, performance work, or an active training home. With her strong herding instincts, she'll thrive with someone who enjoys positive reinforcement, play, structure, and enrichment. Ruby is wonderfully affectionate with people, and she gets along great with other dogs and children. While she hasn't been tested with cats, we suspect she might do well with proper introductions. Since Ruby is a rescue, she's still learning the ropes when it comes to formal training, offering you the exciting opportunity to help her grow and shape her skills from the ground up.

Training & Support

Ruby does exhibit some food resource guarding, which is easily managed by feeding her in her crate. She has not had extensive formal training, presenting a wonderful opportunity for her adopter to shape her skills with positive reinforcement, play, structure, and enrichment.
