Meet Eddie – your new favorite couch buddy!

If you're looking for a sweet, laid-back companion who loves to snuggle and happily follows you from room to room, Eddie is your guy! He's estimated to be around 2 years old, weighs about 40 pounds, and has the softest, velvety ears you've ever felt.

Eddie has a few physical scars—and probably some emotional ones, too. Because of his past, he can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he realizes he's safe, he bonds quickly and becomes an incredibly loyal companion.

Eddie has low-to-moderate energy, so he doesn't need hours of exercise to be happy. He does, however, need a securely fenced yard (minimum 4 foot). He's still learning to walk on a leash and is considered a flight risk if given the opportunity to slip out an open door.

Eddie is calm around other dogs and mostly ignores dogs he sees on a walk and the neighbor dog he can see through the fence. He gets along with our resident dog but seems a little nervous when she goes near his bed or toys. He would be fine as an only dog and probably do well with other dogs with proper introduction and adjustment time.

He's an easygoing guy in so many ways! Eddie tolerates baths and nail trims without complaint and isn't bothered by vacuums or lawnmowers. We have not tested with cats or children. Because he may bolt through an open door, we think he'd be safest in a home without young children who may accidentally hold doors open.

The best part? Eddie already comes with all the basics covered! He's house-trained, crate-trained, and well past the puppy biting stage. He knows "sit," and we're currently working on "off" to curb his counter surfing—which is already improving. While he's perfectly happy sleeping in his crate, he'd much rather curl up in bed beside his favorite person.

Eddie is truly the sweetest little guy. He has the most irresistible puppy-dog eyes and is simply looking for someone to love—a best friend to snuggle up with while watching TV and enjoying life's quieter moments. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Eddie’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
