Dogwood is an almost 7-month-old handsome tan boy with a sleek golden coat, warm amber eyes, and the sweetest floppy ears. His happy smile and sturdy, athletic build hint at his adventurous side, but his personality is surprisingly laid-back! He's the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, enjoying a good game and exploring but also happy to lounge nearby. His foster mom describes him as incredibly loving and happiest when he's with his people, proudly carrying toys (a classic Lab trait!). Dogwood loves being part of the family and his affectionate, easygoing nature makes him a joy to live with. He's happy to follow you around, lounge near you while you work, or lean in for pets, simply content to be wherever you are. With continued guidance and love, Dogwood is going to make an incredible lifelong best friend for a family looking for a loyal, loving dog who enjoys both playtime and lazy afternoons.

Ongoing Health
Dogwood is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been heartworm tested.
Training & Support
Dogwood is in the process of crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

Transporation
Dogwood is located in the Greater Houston area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Pick up for Canadian adopters is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
