Hi, I'm Buster Brown! I'm a young, energetic guy with lots of enthusiasm for life, and my front feet do the cutest little "tippy taps" when I get excited. I'm friendly and always ready to run and play. While I can be jumpy when I'm excited, especially for treats, it's all happy energy and never aggressive. I'm a total food hound and love interactive play, especially tug! Sometimes I play like a little boxer, bouncing around in a fun, goofy way. I'm still learning to settle myself when excited, so I'll benefit from structure and training to help me channel my energy positively. I walked calmly past other dogs and showed no concerning behaviors with a stuffed dog. My interactions with cats and kids are unknown, but supervision and continued training would be important due to my jumpiness and excitability. I know "sit" but struggle with impulse control when excited, especially with treats. With consistency and positive reinforcement, I have great potential to learn quickly. I haven't marked indoors, but I did have an accident once when the yard was icy. I can be wiggly when leashed and am a bit of a door dasher, so secure doors and mindful handling are important. I may pull and zig-zag on leash due to excitement, but a harness and continued leash training will help me succeed. I love treats (the real kind!), zoomies, running, tug-of-war, soft toys, interactive play, and engaging with my people. I dislike being asked to stay calm when I'm feeling playful; I tend to get overstimulated and bounce around instead of settling for pets right now. Loud excitement can amp me up quickly, so I'll benefit from guidance and structure.
Ideal Home
A home that can provide structure and continued training to help channel my energetic nature. Supervision and mindful handling are important due to my jumpiness and tendency to be a door dasher.
Ongoing Health
All necessary vet checks, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and preventative medications are up-to-date.
Training & Support
I'm still learning impulse control and how to settle when excited. Continued training using positive reinforcement will be key to my success. I may pull on the leash and zig-zag due to excitement, so harness and leash training are recommended.
