Meet Dixie Chick! This sweet 6-8-year-old Coonhound embodies southern charm and is ready to find her forever home. Dixie Chick was rescued from a high-kill shelter just in time and has been enjoying her new life with cozy couch naps ever since. She's a gentle soul who adores her stuffed animals, treating them like her own babies. While generally laid-back, her hound instincts can kick in when she catches an interesting scent!

Ideal Home

Dixie is looking for a loving home where she can relax on the couch, snuggle with her toys, and live out her golden years feeling safe and cherished. She will need a mid-day potty break if you work all day.

Dixie is a senior dog.

Training & Support

Dixie is crate trained and sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate. She settles down quickly after a few minutes of letting you know she's there, which is classic hound behavior! We recommend crating her when you're away, as she may go on a "treasure hunt" if she smells something enticing.

Dixie is located in the greater Charlotte area. Due to our thorough adoption process, including home visits, adoptions are limited to local families.
