Meet Hershey, a 3.5-year-old, 42-pound spayed female Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix with a heart as sweet as her name! Hershey was found wandering the streets of Houston until her amazing foster stepped in and gave her a safe place to land. Since then, she's blossomed into a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion who is ready for a forever home of her own. This low-rider cuddle bug absolutely adores her people and is happiest when she's curled up next to you on the couch or following you from room to room. She's the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her humans and thrives in a home where she can be part of the family's daily life.

Ideal Home

Hershey is looking for a stable, loving home where she can continue to thrive, feel safe, and be someone's loyal sidekick. She has had a positive experience with children and would do well in a home with respectful kids. She may do best as the only pet or with a calm, tolerant dog who won't mind her enthusiastic play style. A home without cats or one prepared for slow, supervised introductions is recommended. Loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can spook her, so a calm, secure environment during those moments is important.

Training & Support

Hershey is fully housebroken and does well in her crate. She is great on a leash, walks calmly, and loves getting out to sniff and explore the neighborhood. While she's generally mellow indoors, she enjoys regular walks, sniff sessions, and time outside.
