Franck

Franck is a charming and energetic 7-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix who weighs around 22 lbs. He's a happy-go-lucky puppy who absolutely adores being around people and gets along famously with other dogs, children, men, and women. Franck thrives on affection and finds comfort and security in being petted and showered with attention. Sadly, Franck was found abandoned with severe mange that resulted in the loss of part of his tail. Now healthy and full of life, he's ready to leave his past behind and find a loving family to share his future with.

Ideal Home

Franck would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys spending time outdoors. He needs a family with a genuine commitment to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs of street animals, including their potential behavioral quirks and need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is a plus, or a willingness to hire a professional trainer to help this intelligent pup reach his full potential. Franck requires a high level of tolerance and patience, as he is not yet house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Franck's tail is a result of past mange, and while he has recovered from the condition, the affected part of his tail is gone. He has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra protection. He also has a USDA Health Certificate and a vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Franck is not house-trained, and potential adopters should be prepared to work on this. He, like many rescued animals, may require an adjustment period to settle into a new environment. Patience, understanding, and consistency will be key to building trust and a strong bond with him.

• If your application is a potential match, we will schedule a call or video chat to introduce you to Franck and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping, and other essential needs to prepare your pet for homecoming.

Transportation

Franck is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel. We offer door-to-door delivery service for adopted pets. We organize 3-4 cross-country trips per year. Our partnered transport company, based in Montana, sends a team to Mexico to collect adopted pets. Each pet travels with all necessary legal documents, including a Transport Contract and a USDA Health Certificate. For US adoptions, pets will cross the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. We create a private Facebook Messenger group for adopters and the transport team to provide real-time updates, including photos and videos of your pet's journey. The transport fee is $400 USD.
